The state Election Commission has informed that the earlier schedule communicated by the commission to told election in the month of may 2018could not be fulfilled as the government oprationalised the new panchayats Act only on 18th April 2018

The state Election Commission informed that out of exsting 12751 Gram Panchayats, only 12734 Gram Panchayats are goint to polls at present while the terms of remianing (17) Gram panchayats is completing little later in different dates. Most of the GPs wil have one polling location.

2. Establishment of polling stations 2nd fortnight of May 2018
3. Fixation and allocation of Reservations Began from 17-05-2018
4. Selection, appointment and training of retgurning officers 2nd fortnight of May 2018
