NPS Partial withdrawal procedure- Documents to be submitted by the subscriber to withdraw 25% of amount

Treasuries and Accounts Departments, Partial Withdrawal - Documents to be submitted for availing - comprehensive guidelines to all stake holders - instructions issued.

A Partial withdrawal of accumulated pension wealth of the subscriber, not exceeding 25% of the contributions made by the subscriber and excluding contribution made by the employer, if any at any time before exit from NPS subject to the terms and conditions.

Purpose of withdrawal

  1. For High education of his or her children including a legally adopted child
  2. for the marriage of his or her children, including legally dopted child
  3. for the purchase of construction of a residential house or flat in his or her own name or in a joint name with his or her legally wedded spouse.
  4. for treatment of specific illness.
  5. medical and incidental expenses arising out of the disability or incapacitation suffered by the subscriber


on examination of the precedure envisaged by the Pension Fund Regulator and Development Authority in such matters the following guidelines are issued seamless process

  1. subscriber should complete 3 yrs of service
  2. subscriber should submit the proofs for withdrawal of 25% amount.
  3. Signature/thumb impression should be there in application form.
  4. correct bank account should be mentioned
