Government of Telangana has released the notification for conduct of Entrnace Test for admision in the Diploma in Elimentary Education through the DEECET-2019. previously this common entrance test is known as DIET CET. This course is also known as D.El.Ed.(Diploma in Elimentary Education). This is course designed for two years. Students must attempt the DEECET Examination to get the seat in D.El.Ed.(Diploma in Elimentary Education) in Teacher Training Institutions.

Government has released the detailed notification along with guidelines for DEECET 2019. This notification contains the various information like important dates, Scheme of Examination, Eligibility criteria of candidates, Educational Qualifications, AGe limits, Fees details, Examination pattern and etc., TS DEECET is a synonym used for Telangana State Diploma in Elimentary Education Common Entrance Test which will be conducted by the School Education Department on behalf of Government of Telangana. Through this exam candidate will be given seat for the D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elimentary Education) course which is commenced for the period of two years.
Important Dates for TS DEECET
- Issue of Notification 10-03-2019
- Online Application submission starts from 11-03-2019
- Last Date for Online Applications 04-04-2019
- Tentative date for conduct of TS DEECET 22-05-2019
Exam Fee of TS DEECET
Fee of Rs. 413/- shall be paid through the online payment gateway provided at the time of submitting the online application.
Mode of TS DEECET Examination
Computer Based online Examination will be conducted.
Eligibility criteria for TS DEECET
- Candidate should be of India Nationality.
- Candidate should have completed 17 years age as on 1st september of the year of admission. There shall be NO upper age limit for admission in to D.El.Ed.
- Candidate should have secured a rank in TS DEECET.
- Candidate shall secure 35% marks in TS DEECET in case if candidate belowngs to OC and BC.
- For Scheduled caste and Scheduled Trabes there shall be NO minimum qualifying marks for allotment of seats under reserved category.
- The Candidates who passed Intermediate examination with vocational course(s) are not eligible.

Educational Qualifications for TS DEECET
The Candidate should have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination(Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent as decided by the TS DEECET Committee for appearing TS DEECET Entrance Test.
However the Candidate should have passed the qualifying examination by the time of admission.
The candidates hsould have secured 50% marks in aggreegate in qualifying examination for appearing at the TS DEECET.
The minimum percentage of marks in the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Traibes and Physically Challenged candidates shall be 45%.
Method of Admission in to D.El.Ed. through TS DEECET
- D.El.Ed is offered in three media i.e. Telugu, English, Urdu.
- The canididate opting for any particular medium shall exercise their option in the online application for appearing TS DEECET in that particular medium only.
- The admission in to all Government DIETs and Category "A" seats of the private unaided Teacher Education Institutions shall be made through a single window system in the order of merit on the basis of medium wise rank assigned in TS DEECET examination and to the extent sancitoned seats through We based admission service provided by the convener TS DEECET.
- All the seats in Private un-aided Non-Minority/Private Un-aided Minority institutions offering D.El.Ed program shall be filled as mentioned in the Notification.
Rule of Reservation for TS DEECET
- Local category candidates 85%
- Open Category candidates 15%
TS DEECET Test Centers
Ts DEECET shall be conducted "online" in the 10 earstwhile districts on the dates notified.
Candidates may give the preferential order of test centers.
Allotment of centers shall be the discretion of the department and requests for change of test centers or session is not allowed under any circumstances.
