International Yoga Day on 21 June
International Yoga Day is being celebrated on 21st June every year An international yoga day was declared unanimously by the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Yoga is a Physical, Mental, Spiritual practice organised in india. The Prime Minister of India Sri Narendra Modi suggested to UNO for celebrating 21st june as yoga day why because as it is longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world.
Activities to be taken up in schools on Yoga Day 21 June:
- Essay writing competitions must be conducted on Yoga Day.
- Yoga practice may be performed in the school at school assembly time.
- Importance of the Yoga may be explained to all the students.
- Yoga posters may be shown in school for better understanding.
