The Commissioner of School Educational, Telangana has issued a detailed guidelines for selection of the best teachers on the eve of Teachers Day Celebrations on 5th September.
The Nominations for District level Best Teacher Awards may be received from the Head Masters/Teachers in Govt/Local Body schools as the award to be given on the Teachers Day on 5th September on every year.

Guidelines/Parameters for selection of teachers as Best Teacher
- The procedure of obtaining applications from the H.Ms./Teachers in Govt./Local Body Schools is hereby dispensed with.
- Conditions of eligibility of Head Masters / Teachers working in Govt/Local Body Schools; for considering for the District Awards:-
- Gazetted Head Master (HM/GHM) Gr.ll with at least 15 years of Teaching experience and for the Teachers 10 years of Teaching experience and who are actually working as (HMs)/ Teachers in Government /Local Body Schools under the School Education Department only shall be considered.
- The Headmasters/Teachers working in Govt/Local Body schools, who have done ‘extraordinary’ work or made ‘extraordinary contribution’ in the following parameters shall be considered:- Teachers/HMs who have done extraordinary work for improving the Gross Enrollment of the School/Class :- Details of last two Academic years to be seen.
- Teachers/ HMs who reduced dropout rate in their schools in the district and achieved least dropout rate for the School/Class compared to the District figures. Details of last two Academic years to be seen.
- Teachers/HMs who achieved 100% results in the SSC March exams for the School/Class. Details of students appeared and passed during the past two years to be seen.
- Teachers/HMs who achieved maximum GPA 9+ results in the SSC March, exams for the School/Class. Details of students appeared and passed during the past two years to be seen.
- Special Awards won by the students of the Schools/Class at the State Level Science Exhibition/ relevant National Level competitions. Details of the last two Academic years to be seen.
- Important innovations implemented as a Teacher/ HM. Details during the last two Academic years to be seen.
- Head Masters who achieved 100% Aadhar seeding for the students and teachers in the school. Details of to be seen.
- Teachers/HMs who made important contribution to develop the infrastructure in the schools such as toilet constructions, water supply etc., through CSR, etc., Details of infrastructure facilities developed in the school during the past two Academic Years, though CSR funds etc., to be seen.
- Teachers/HMs who achieved Outstanding work in ‘Haritha Haram’ Programme or made special efforts to develop Kitchen Garden etc., Details of plantations taken up in the school and survival of the plants during to be seen.
