Insurance Coverage with SBI Debit Cards
Most people in the country have an account with the State Bank of India. All our employed teachers also have salary accounts in the State Bank of India.
State Bank of India is the largest bank in India. It provides many services to their clients. One such service is the debit card.
SBI Bank offers a debit card to everyone who opens an account with them. Account holders usually use this card for their financial transactions. For example, to withdraw money from a bank, a debit card is used to withdraw money through an ATM.
All this, we know, but what we do not know is that in addition to this debit card, the bank also offers us a free insurance facility. That too without any premium.
Yes it is true, the bank is giving us personal accident insurance along with the debit card.

If the account holder wishes to claim personal accident insurance non-air for his or her accident, he or she must make a financial transaction at least 90 days prior to the date of the accident, either through his or her debit, at ATM, ePOS or online, and purchase airline tickets using this debit card.
