Government of Telangana has launched the scheme of Rani Laxmi Bai Aatma Raksha Prashikshan- Self Defense Program for girl child who are studying in Government and Local Body schools in the state to provide the self defense training to girls. This may help the girl child to protect themselves in Dangerous or critical situations. 

This scheme has launched in view of the untoward invents happening in india in women matter. The govt has responsibility to provide protection to girls and women in india. In this regard, government has taken the initial step by launching the scheme Rani Laxmi Bai Aatma Raksha Prashikshan - Self Defence Programme

1) The budget has been sanctioned to the PM Shri schools to implement the scheme. 

2) The women trainers shall be given preference. 

3) If not available, male trainers may be engaged to provide training. 

4) The training shall take place within school hours only. 

5) Weekly 6 sessions, monthly 24 sessions are to be covered.
